Who we are

North Settlements ([legal entity name], registered in [jurisdiction], number [number]) operates this website at northsettlements.com. Contact: hello@northsettlements.com.

What we collect

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser, runs no advertising or third party tracking scripts, and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other sites. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

We serve our own fonts from our own domain rather than loading them from Google Fonts, so no third party receives your IP address when you view a page here.

Why we collect it

To respond to enquiries, schedule calls, send briefings you requested, and keep the site running and secure. The legal bases are your consent, and our legitimate interest in operating an advisory business.

Who we share it with

Service providers only, and only what each one needs: our hosting provider, our scheduling tool and our email provider. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to train anything.

Where your data is processed

Our hosting provider serves this site from infrastructure that includes locations outside the UK and EEA, including the United States, and our scheduling and email tools may do the same. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, it is done under the safeguards those rules require. [Confirm with counsel which mechanism each vendor relies on, adequacy or standard contractual clauses, and name them here.]

How long we keep it

Enquiry data for [24] months after last contact. Briefing list data until you unsubscribe. Server logs for the period our hosting provider retains them.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and briefing list data is limited to people who need it to do the work. We keep the number of tools holding your data deliberately small.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time, and you can withdraw consent or object to processing, by emailing hello@northsettlements.com. We will respond within the period the applicable rules require.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have these rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to complain to a supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or your national data protection authority in the EU. You do not have to come to us first, though we would rather you did so we can fix it.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page with a new date.
